Mark, all of the stuff I had heard prior to Electric Tears and Population Overload I would agree with you on, but those two albums kill me. Electric Tears is all laid back, chill out kind of music with killer playing on it...very bluesy feel. Population Overload has a lot of funk type stuff on it, but again with Buckethead's slant on it...can't recommend those two enough. And Colma's Whitewash...daaaaaamn!

I noticed that too. His playing has a very late 80's porn music style.

A little older, maybe hard to find, but I always loved Ronnie Montrose's Speed Of Sound album.
