I was surprised. They definitely sound great right out of the box. Will only get better!!!

I have to ask. How are these different than the chinese 16ohm V30. Which I thought they were a pretty good speaker with the right amp. I havent used a V30 in 20 years though, not since discovering ScumBacks.

Yeah mine sound fine. I didn't really think mine needed any sort of break-in or anything.

Mine are fine too, but there will be a break-in period as that is typically more most speakers.

The new UK V30s are different as they supposedly don’t have the exaggerated mid-spike as the Chinese version. There are tons of info and debates on this here at Rig Talk, other forums and YouTube. I had a Bogner 4x12 back in the day that had Chinese V30s and sounded good to me. I currently own a older Friedman 4x12 with Chinese V30s and Chinese reissue Greenbacks and it sounds great!!! I tried the Scumbacks and it didn’t do much for me. This is when I was a frequent RT member back in the day. Maybe I didnt have the right ones?
