NCD: Mesa Rectifier 4x12

I have the same cab @Bash_Man

Not sure why they called the oversized "Standard".
"Standard" and "Traditional" seem so boring.
Who wants standard traditional anything

Sometimes I play the Splawn through the Mesa cab and the Mesa through the Splawn cab

Definitely brought some additional awesome characteristics on the Nitro High gain sounds that I've never heard before. Sounded good.

Both Standard and Traditional Mesa cabs are great. I never found the Standard cab overly 'boomy'; but I used mostly Mesa Recto/Marks through it. The Traditional is the one you want IF more tightness is required.
Ya, I don't find the standard boomy either, it sounds pretty balanced actually, but maybe a bit on the dark side cause i'm always cranking the presence fairly high on my amp, a Mark IV..

I don't hear a huge difference between my Mesa Standard 4X12 and my Rivera 4X12. Both are loaded with V30s, but the Rivera is just a regular sized cab. I don't think the Mesa cab low end is really all that different.

I've had both Mesa OS and Traditional. They sound very different.

If you own a Mesa 4x12, and you've never rewired it series-parallel, you've not heard its potential.

Also, the 8 ohm mono input jack connects the two L/R stereo-vertical 4 ohm 2x12's via a momentary contact switch that closes when you insert the speaker cable. The contact is the size of a pen's ball point. Do you want your tone going through that?

Aiken diagram that beast and if you prefer the stock parallel-series add the wire or a spst switch to go back and forth. PROFIT!
