He was a Randall then Fortin guy, now Fender/EVH and apparently Kemper which isn't mentioned at all, but is sitting there. No matter, I love his tone on the old Anthrax and SOD stuff...killer.

I read his book. Cracked me up when he got arrested for trying to steal stuff out the baseball diamond.![]()

I'm reading it now but sadly I don't have time to read as much as I would like. I am only halfway through

I forgot that one, that was the first one I read, then DLR's book too.DET1973":3mco3wpp said:paulyc":3mco3wpp said:I've read A TON of them, and it's always like 2-3 days to finish one (usually on vacation or something where I have the kind of time for it). My Favorite one so far was Motley Crue "The Dirt" & a Pearl Jam one that I read years ago. The Anthony Kedis one "Scar Tissue" was awesome too.

I really like the tone. I really like the 5153, but might like the Stealth just a little more. What made you decide to get it instead of the new Invective?![]()

Blue channel killed. Guy traded me a diezel for it. Knew I could snag another one. So let it go.
In the mean time this EL34 came out. Seems like the newer power tube lay out would 'tame' it a tad. Add more of the edge I wanted. And the videos I posted seem to concrete it.
Can't wait.![]()
Ah, so you haven't played it yet? I had the pleasure of trying one out a while back at Guitar Center. It's really great man. Like I said, I like it even better than the 6L6 version. I like the its distortion, the way the harmonics squeal, the percussive quality, and even like the cleanish tones a little better. Overall, it's great. You'll love it man.
Cool man. Good bud of mine has one. (Lives far away from me)
Said the dynamics and harmonics just 'jump' out this amp.
Only us guitar players understand this gibberish.![]()

I am gonna open this thing WIDE OPEN thru the full stack. Can't wait.![]()

You better wear a cup because that thing's going to kick you right in the balls man. LOL! I wonder if you can hook it up to two 4x12 cabs at the same time.
Is Pearcy as big a nozzle as he seems ? Does he talk about Jake E Lee and the Rough Cutt guys at all ? I know he's good friends with Chris Hagar...Mailman1971":3cwik13u said:There is a Randall Ian amp in the ads now.
Stephen Pearcys book was great too.
In the book he is super cool. Was Eddie Van Halen's neighbor before.paulyc":7ylosreb said:Is Pearcy as big a nozzle as he seems ? Does he talk about Jake E Lee and the Rough Cutt guys at all ?
