He was a Randall then Fortin guy, now Fender/EVH and apparently Kemper which isn't mentioned at all, but is sitting there. No matter, I love his tone on the old Anthrax and SOD stuff...killer.

Their newer recorded tones do nothing for me, the classic stuff is killer though... Spreading, Among, and SOD in particular

From what I've heard....Either He Or Randall Severed that relationship cause as everyone knows....Randall isn't doing well.

I didn't care for his Randall amps much. They weren't bad. But didn't blow me away either. V
I read his book. Cracked me up when he got arrested for trying to steal stuff out the baseball diamond.

Yeah I got like 5 more rock biographies I havent read yet. I keep buying em. But barely pick em up.

I've read A TON of them, and it's always like 2-3 days to finish one (usually on vacation or something where I have the kind of time for it). Joe Perry's book is awesome, the 4 KISS guys, Sammy Hagar, Iommi, Lita Ford, Satriani, Yngwie, Ian, Brad Paisley and a bunch of others.

Check out Brian Slagels book about Metal Blade that just came out. Great read it you remember the metal massacre albums.

A lot of people love that EL34 stealth EVH head.

Congratulations man. When that amp first came out, I didn't think it would be much different, but it has its own thing going. I really like the tone. I really like the 5153, but might like the Stealth just a little more. What made you decide to get it instead of the new Invective?

I had the original stealth. And it was a monster. Almost 'too much' power thump.
Blue channel killed. Guy traded me a diezel for it. Knew I could snag another one. So let it go.
In the mean time this EL34 came out. Seems like the newer power tube lay out would 'tame' it a tad. Add more of the edge I wanted. And the videos I posted seem to concrete it.
Can't wait.

Ah, so you haven't played it yet? I had the pleasure of trying one out a while back at Guitar Center. It's really great man. Like I said, I like it even better than the 6L6 version. I like the its distortion, the way the harmonics squeal, the percussive quality, and even like the cleanish tones a little better. Overall, it's great. You'll love it man.

I am gonna open this thing WIDE OPEN thru the full stack. Can't wait.
