I am playing my ESP Kamikazie loaded with a Dimarzio X2N..... and it just BRINGS IT!!


So articulate and brutal. its crazy good.

Using my Randall Lynch Cabs loaded with the Super V speakers. Its fucking rocking. I cant picture it sounding any better.... or any other amp....Just in Awe...
yes I am being serious.

Just got back from another hour of playing it.
No drummer....... Just rolling thru the channels.

I spent about 2 hours playing a Stealth at a local shop yesterday. They only had the 50w EVH heads to compare it to, but close enough. I wasn't liking the Stealth clean channel with single coils, but any pickup with at least a P90 or humbucker amount of output was much more satisfying. Other than that, I spent most of my time on channel 2. I actually preferred the voicing of channel 3, but the gain and feel of channel 2. Lots of gain on channel 3. Channel 2 was so much fun to play. Lots of dynamics. Pinch harmonics were just oozing out of channel 2, but channel 3 was more sensitive to the presence control and didn't give up the harmonics as easily until I dialed the presence to at least 1:00.

The 5153/6L6 clean channel was a little more lively with single coils. Channel 2 & 3 were just great. I liked channel 3 voicing on the Stealth just a little bit more. Still, it reminded me how much I like that amp. One of the things I liked about the 5153 is that it reminds me of an Engl in a way. There's kind of a processed quality to it, but I love that in either brand. Even with saturated gain though, I wasn't really getting that with the Stealth - and that was good too.

My intention wasn't to sit around for hours playing in a shop, but I couldn't just do one of those 15 minute things. Maybe I should follow your lead and get one of these heads, Stealth or 5153, because I always get carried away playing them. Loads of fun man. You scored an incredible amp.

Yeah. Just got done playing it bit more.
Channel 3 is really liquidy feeling. Much prefer the blue channel for the heavy stuff. Maybe I need to go back and try channel 3 with the gain backed way down.
Oh this thing hangs with em all.
Easily beats out some of 'high end' 4K amps I had in the past.

Bought it off guitar center used. Had it shipped to my local guitar center (great option by the way)
And swinging out after work to grab it.
Gonna break it in full time. Drummer is coming over tonite as well. Going to put this bastard full throttle

In all seriousness, this amp is over the top gain wise. Learn the knobs.
Turn down the gain. Go listen to Rocknchippys Youtube viideos. His are true to the amp
and it seems he's got the tone locked down.

Awe, if you get tired of this latest Stealthy EVH, I've got a nice loud purple plexi beast I would trade you (in the same condition I got it but with some pot smoke inbedded for good luck)

I'd love to try this, the only EVH I've ever tried is the 50 watt EVH which I've kept around for about 5 years, don't play it much but the blue channel with volume up to noon is pretty awesome in my book.

I've got the same thing going on, way too much money but when I think of selling I just think fuck it....money in the bank for a rainy day or 50, and keep it all.

Man channel 2 is so good it could be in an amp all by itself. Have you had a chance to open it up past the 12:00 mark yet? I like the cab they make for it too. It sounds really great. Channel 1 really comes alive once you get those speakers moving.
