+1 I guess the "plex" thing threw me. The clips I litened to on the Mako site seem to be going for EVH tones. None of them were as heavy sounding as these clips!

The hasn't happened too many times, the ones that spring to mind are the Lee Jackson M-1000 (HUGE P.O.S.) the Krank Krankenstein, and the VHT 100/CL other than that I've been pretty lucky. I've enjoyed MOST amps that I've had.

Would you say its a one trick pony that has one hell of a trick, or is it more than just a high gain head? Is it just that channel?

Single Channel, but TONS of variation in that channel.

I usually dont go for single channel amps, but this thing is AWESOME!

Yep thats the one... it had potential, but it didn't matter what I did to it, the amp was ALL mids, now lowend or bite to it at all. Didn't last long, it was actually given to me, and I had it for 2 days and some guy over at HC popped up and offered to buy it. gone.
