funny thats the best you can do... im sure theres a lot of bands out there with names the same as songs.

They were a AIC cover band, atleast a couple members were.

That doesn't surprise me at all.

I used to love Godsmack, then I grew up LOL. Every song is the same shit. I think they go in the studio just to write radio friendly rock. I think love hate sex pain is better than 90% of the rest of their stuff. At least there is a melody to the guitar not just palm muted opens. Voodoo has always pissed me off.

I feel the same about Disturbed. 90% garbage. Write a song thats as heavy as you can get on the radio.

It kicks ass. Can't believe how much hate for Godsmack, they kickass live. Kinda like a modern day sabbath. They make no bones abou being influenced by AIC, but they really don't sound like them.

Like I mentioned earlier....I saw the sales that Locoed mentioned. It was for a bunch of Quickrods and Cabs. Musta been 3 years back?
Add said he was switching to Nitros from the QuickRods.
They didnt sell for very much either.

but I still feel like Godsmack is the soundtrack to a tribal-tattoo redneck orgy in a trailer park. I just can't relate to it, and I don't enjoy it

God that just sums it up so beautifully. I actually like the tone of Sully's voice but between insipid juvenile lyrics and the incredibly boring songs I can't stand it. I remember in the 90's when they first came out it was the last nail in the coffin in that the populace is a miasma of morons. I thought....There's no way an ex-AIC cover band can take an AIC song name as their band name, release their own material on an incredibly sub-par level and not be laughed into non-existance." I was taking a break from bands at the time and it almost made me say fuck, it why bother. I didn't play in a band again for at least 3 years.

...I mean, their singer's name is "Sully"? that posing goes all the way back to the Limp Bizkit era of crap. That song where they chant "voodoo, voodoo" is carnival music. Their shit makes radio play while bands like Porcupine Tree, King's X, and Biffy Clyro go unnoticed.

wanna say his name though.
He owns White Room and "Vintage King" who happens to
be the biggest vintage recording gear cat in the world.He
setup Metallica's studio,ZZ Top etc,and Thunder Audio.
Great guy.

Cool! I put some bids on one of the quickrods....was beat out at the last 30 seconds!!

I played some Godsmack songs in a cover band i was in. Kinda boring stuff to listen to and play. At least it's metal though.
