Edgecrusher from FF. I miss SS posse

Old school Fear Factory is another one of my infinity stones for tones.

I recently posted some ToneX captures where I got a pretty good Demanufacture type tone using my boosted 2203 clone.

DEI and Chaosphere are killer. I saw them on the Chaosphere tour, and it was incredible. Then they started getting spotty for me album wise - I'd like some songs, but the albums as a whole just didn't do it for me. That said, I really like Obzen and absolutely love The Violent Sleep of Reason. IMO The Violent Sleep of Reason is their best since Chasophere and had me excited for Immutable. Unfortunately, that one fell flat for me too.

Koloss is my favorite album of theirs to date. All of their work since Destroy Erase Improve has been great, but Catch 33 is their high water mark.
Agree with you 100%.

a couple of the best nights ive had was getting completely trashed with Meshuggah. My buddy, who is actually one of Metallica's light guys now, was doing lights for them and invited me to come hang. After the near religious experience of seeing them the first time we went to the back lounge on the bus and smoked the whole im sure probably ounce i brought and drank who knows what. it had to be 2003 cause i remember telling them it was my last night of being under 21, and Tomas Haake was giving me all sorts of life lessons and feeding me drinks. Mistress Juliya from fuze then ended up coming back there and sat on my lap cause there was no room. Then the bus took off with me on it and they dropped me off a couple blocks away  cool story bro

Everyone referring to their breakout album, Destroy Erase Improve as "DEI" has me thinking that if that was what that actually meant, I would be way more likely to support Government DEI initiatives instead of the racist horseshit that was pushed in years past.

Definitely agree - the older albums were much more interesting to me, pretty much everything pre-Obzen is top. The stuff of the last 10-15 years has been cool in spots but not as ubiquitous in ass-kickery to me.

They're the only "djent" band that I can listen to most of the time. Favourite songs are "New Millenium Cyanide Christ" and "Break The Bones Whose Sinews Gave Them Motion".

Contradictions Collapse is one of my favorites and criminally underrated I think, I wish they would tune back up and go more thrashy like that album
Agreed. Love that album. Guitar tones are very 80s mark series lol.
