I am totally digging these. I don't get why they would make them limited or too expensive, since they would fly off the shelf otherwise. That said, I am interested. Ralph, check your pm.

Anyone thinking of getting that lil 1w head and sending it to Dave for the Kitchen sink mod?

I'm really impressed with that 800, I think in boost mode, it really does capture the later 2205's and 2210 that came out in the late '80's with more gain than the 2203's etc. But...it would be nice to hear the DSL and JVM models as well...

That 800 is killer both in regular mode and boost mode. These would be perfect gig amps if you are running through a PA anyway. Nice and handy and light. They should price this thing in the 500$ range and no more. Would be a great little recording amp too because you could crank it with no attenuation. Me likie.

I think the 800 sounded great, but would never buy one of these at those prices.

lol at 1000$!! Why wouldn't I just get a real JMP used for like 1200$ at that point? Give your head a shake Marshall.

$1000! Oh HELL NO...that can't be right. I sure as hell will buy a real one first before I drop that on a 1w collectible.

I REALLY dug the JMP. Would love to throw a boost in front. But, how loud is 1 watt, REALLY??

In my experience, 1W with volume full open is about as load as a 100W with volume on 2-3. So it wouldn't necessarily appear louder or quieter, but the tone is SOOO much better because the amp is really working :).

Besides the sound, there is also something about the feel that changes when you play. It feels great. It's sort of a different response. You should try it out in a shop or from a buddy or something!

I played my 1 watt head in the middle of the night yesterday with great tone, and quiet enough not to even wake up people on the floor below. Since most shows have PA, i really don't see the point in 100+W amps anymore...

I have to say that this is about right. Even my Class 5 is way too loud for my apt. I mean, one of these might actually fit the bill and sound cool, as well as look cool as hell. To be honest, I wish they were cheaper so I could pick up a few.

You know what would be cool? A single 1 watt amp with three channels: JTM / JMP/ JCM, and a power scaling knob, not a switch !
