NGD! Charvel SC1 MIJ

From what I've heard from a few Charvel guys, the MIM used cheaper woods and obviously less vigorous quality control than the Japan factory in the same way Fender have Mexican<American<Japanese.
Also I'm not sure that the MIM has the "scalloped" effect on the fret board like the first batch MIJs. The scalloped effect was done by hand which is really impressive and sets it out aesthetically. Here is the details for mine:

Are you saying 'quality cuts' in the MIJ models? Because my first MIJ blue SD was 2010, and great. My next MIJ was also a 2010, good but not great. This red one I just grabbed is a 2011, and better than either 2010 I had. Its right there with my US Charvel. If you mean cuts when they moved to Mexico, never mind....

I've read that lots of guys like their MiM Charvels, but I think its a bit more hit/miss than before. I had an EVH Bumblebee and I liked it, little different neck than the Charvel but a decent guitar. Others have said they are crap. If you get a USA/MIJ Charvel chances are you'll get a winner.

I like the stripe series personally. A plus for me is that the truss adjustment is visible without removal of the neck.

The neck itself felt really nice. Maybe he will put out ones that have totally new paint schemes.. That may be pretty cool.

Well, he had it listed as a model series...I looked at it and gave him what he was asking. No pic on Craigslist or I would have lost out...feel kinda bad but...do the research.....I used to have a model 4 that I really liked. Much to my surprise...MIJ SC1....score.

I payed £600 for mine, that's around $700 but then again mine is new and came with case and warranty etc. $300 is a STEAL :O

Mine had no case, is almost new with a couple small dings to it. But it does have an EVH Frankenstein Bridge..pretty cool pup. Even and full sounding.
