NGD - Gibson Les Paul Custom 1985!

Long story short, a friend of mine had wanted my Mayones Duvell Elite since the very first day I got it and three days ago we went to the studio / plugged in the Mayo ---my Mark 2C++ / VHT cab and he fell in love with the tone. I really love that Duvell and it plays like butter but I was never into that specific top, so he offered me 2.5K and I accepted. Now, since I hadn't found any other Duvells that I liked, my buddy shared some photos of this Gibson that his cousin was thinking of selling. He was kind enough to let me have it for 2 days before we both decide and needless to say I fell in love immediately! Today I had the pleasure to take it to the studio and play it loud through my 2C+ + The moment I heard that massive tone I knew I had to had it! The price was really good too! Hell yeah!! Love my 85 LPC. It’s the one I put EMGs into. Massive sounding - just as they really are. Now when you go pick up a new one you’ll realize the new doesn’t hold a candle to old wood.

Check to see if there are 300k pots in it. I have one LPC that’s my clownburst with TTops and changed out the pots for 500k and it’s much better in the low end response and low mids.

Yeah man the pots are now 500k / they were300 ! I'm gonna swap the pickups but I'm not sure if I want to go with actives on this one! Maybe a bareknuckle for the tight chuggy thing?

It weighs about 4.5 kilos- really well balanced! The neck is to die for ! Originally owned by a pro guitar player in Florida. It had been played so much that the second owner had to refinish it - full nitro like the way Gibson does it - by the best professional guy here in Greece.
