It went from a truth to propaganda post 1960's. Is some nice stuff still made in the USA? Yes, but not very much stuff, and the stuff that does live up to that old standard of quality is huge money because the labor is expensive and companies have to deal with mountains of red tape. Whether the bad cat amps fit that definition is unknown. I had a bad cat leash attenuator for a few years. The build quality was really good but an inherent flaw in the design caused it to emit scratching sounds when you turned the attenuation dial. It caused me a real headache when I tried selling it. I had to get a letter from bad cat confirming the design flaw before the buyer was satisfied smh.....Yeah. I have always found it curious that people can't see this. I thought it was still union mentality from fat, lazy workers that thought they needed to be paid a small fortune from working in an assembly line.
