It's not that thin. It's 19mm at nut and 21mm at 12th, more like a Wizard II.

Is your RG550 an original or reissue? He only builds necks with a 56mm heel, some of the newer RG550s might have 58mm heels.

I bought a Jem neck from him for my '92 RG550. Outside of the fret ends being sharp, it was a great buy. He did the square heel for me, and it bolted right on.

I bought a swirled body from him and a neck. The body is awesome and great work on the neck. The fret ends were a little sharp on my neck as well but it went together perfectly.

i have a Perle 7 string RG/RGD body and three 7 string necks with maple finger boards and strat heads. All high quality. Wouldn't hesitate getting more Perle parts.

When I ordered from him a couple years ago he was in a suburb outside Chicago.
