For $1200.00... used Marshall Vintage Modern and smack the front end with a Barber Direct Drive. Here's a few vids of mine taken with a camcorder so the tone is a little bright but you get the idea

Just spent a Good hour with a 100 watt vintage modern at Sam Ash.... me likes! More balls than I thought, good. Eq. Takes some tweeking..... $1000 out the door with tax included.....

Try it like this...
Vol to taste
Reverb off
Pres, Bass, Mids at noon
Treb at 1:00
HDR(white LED)
Mid boost out/off
Detail at 4:00
Body at 10:30
then smack the front with a good boost such as a Boss SD-1(the yellow one) Level maxed or atleast pretty high, tone at noon, gain low like 9:00 or less.
