Both similar in terms of specs and quality. If going used, you will get more bang for your buck with the Anderson if you want a figured top. The Anderson pickups have always had a reputation for being some of the best. I prefer the Andersons
I've owned 1 Suhr and some Andersons, and played a bunch of Suhr's. For my tastes, Anderson's usually sound better. Of all the Suhr's i played only 1 really sounded good, but it had a huge V neck on it.
They both make great guitars...you can't go wrong either way. I personally prefer the feel of the Andersons that I've owned/played...they seemed to have a better neck feel to me and I prefer Anderson pickups over Suhr. Anderson FTW for me.
That said, I have never owned a Suhr myself so I haven't had the opportunity to spend as much time playing one.
I own an Anderson and Ive played a ton of Suhrs Now. At one time Id probably lean towards the Andersons..Hands down but the recent Suhrs that Ive played have been nothing sort of spectacular in every aspect.
I pretty much would have echoed what danyeo said but Im finding that the current Suhrs are just kicking my ass BIGTIME.
With that said....EITHER kill and you will more then likely be happy with either
Once you get past a certain point with anything, it's apples and oranges... I just bought an Anderson (out for delivery today...) but I bet a Suhr would be just as cool.
Id like to get an Anderson, but everytime I think about getting a new guitar I can't ignore how incredible my Suhrs are. I really like basically everything about those guitars.
Either way Im sure youd be happy, but for me ever since I got my first Suhr I dont have a desire to play anything else.
