Welcome to the forum. Yeah, you made it sound pretty good up until you were lower than a whole step. But IMO if it sounds realistic and has no latency for half-step or full step down, then it's worth it.
Thanks brother - glad to be here! Appreciate the response as well - and I agree - who is going to play an octave low? (Not counting the octaver effect which IS a usable effect) I mean seriously though? If the pedal was JUST a half step drop tuner only and that's it, I'd buy it for that alone (not for $200 though) as that's all I'll ever really use it for and rarely at that. I would never have it as a permanent "fixture" in my pedal board and think of it more as a "utility" pedal - like a capo where you hate to use it, but dammit sometimes it just makes life easier you know? I mean playing in E flat or B flat!? ugh.. BUT now I can deal with it and more importantly I can jam to Van Halen all day and butcher ALL his licks without detuning and watching my bridge get higher... and higher... and higher...
