Pool Day

I don’t have a heater, because I’m too cheap to pay for the hardware and the gas bill, but I love a warm pool. It was a rare, hot summer years ago, but the pool got to 104 with just a solar blanket. The women folk STRONGLY voiced their opposition 😀
Man..... That's too damn hot. Lol
All my life I've been used to swimming in cold Upstate NY lakes. If it's hot out I want to feel some nice chill.. 🥶

We have a spring fed river here in town that is like that. It really takes the edge off a 100+ degree TX day if you hit it at sunset. I need to start going again I skipped the past two years but me and the old lady went just about every day the summer of '23.

Oh man that is great.
Yeah, the lakes around here are all Mountain Stream fed and stay very cool no matter the heat out.
Even better, after a couple days of rain or a good storm blows through the lake has a "Pine tree" scent to it. Even the water tastes a little Piney.. its wild.

That’s kind of the thing. That year was exceptionally hot. We had a month where it was consistently above 100 degrees. The pool temp sounds ridiculous, but it didn’t feel that way compared to air temps. The hotter the air temp, the warmer the pool needs to be…
