Archons are total sleeper amps, no one expects them to be as good as they are. I absolutely love mine!

Played a 50w combo at a GC on Thursday. Sounded good. A shit ton of low end available, I had to dial it down to 11 o clock or it was too mushy. Only had a few minutes with it but got a decent tone, had the gain maxed and it could take a pedal easily for more saturation. Nice amp for 999, they had a note saying its not available till 3/12. I liked it better than any recto I've tried, but I'm not a recto guy. My 2C+ has a lot more available gain, maybe it had low gain pre tubes in? Had enough though. Just thought it would have more. Cool amp!
