It was definitely rugged., and yes that pic looks cold but it wasn't that bad in September. Being on the Adriatic (Mediterranean) and north of Greece, it is mostly dry and hot.

That said - I agree and prefer the Caribbean (outside of the humidity). If you want a Caribbean vibe without the humidity I recommend Aruba.

You'd probably love Santorini in the Greek Islands. Sits on the rim of a massive ancient caldera. Dry like the rest of the region, low humidity. Great bang for your US dollar and there are catamarans everywhere
