Congrats on the Eclipse. :thumbsup: :rock:

You will be surprised at just how many cool sounds are in that box. READ the manual, starting now... It's rather involved, but you'll be up and running with it much faster than if you wait until you get the unit.

The preset manual will give you some ideas of what sort of algorithms are in there, and likely have you salivating at the prospect of getting the unit-- even more than you already are. ;) Enjoy :thumbsup:

I cant even count the number of times I have listeded to the eclipse demo on eventides webpage...

:lol: :LOL: I can relate... I did the same thing. Like the anticipation of opening presents on Christmas, as a kid.

You guys are killing me with all that W/D/W talk

*looks for a VHT poweramp and another 4x12 *

tell you this much

i've been gigging my axe rig exclusively for a few months now, and as wonderful as it's been for simplicity and one button rack tone world changes,

not a day goes by when i'm playing live, that I don't consider how much better a certain nuance of my tone would be with a tube amp in the equation

still waiting for an atomic w/d/w ghetto blaster
3 powered speakers--wets are ss power and detachable
And center dry is power tube loaded into ss

axefx ultra II would have a dry out and stereo outs

Sennheiser has a new array speaker called the lyzard the size of an iPhone

Zvex has nanoamp

Now that I have over a month with my H3000 I can now say with confidence that it is the way eventide colors the core tone that is the bomb for me, Vai's sick arena patches are like soundscapes. TC is different, maybe more upper mid thing? Not sure but dam I am glad I finally added that piece.

Now tio get the 10u worth of 80s/90s shit to work as one :lol: :LOL:

the H is tight. finish the manual yet? :D

oh yeah, my little ghetto w/d/w ss sections should be designed by eric pritchard of pritchard amps and the cab emulations should come from redwirez maybe?

maybe the center dry tube amp from gaga50/milbert.com?

center dry speakers from scumback (2x10s) and the wet speakers from EV (2-1x10s)?

My setup in a few weeks:

Guitar -> Tuner -> Wah -> Diezel VH4 |-> 4*12 (dry center)
............................................ |
.............................................|-> Eventde modfactor -> Eventide eclipse -> Power amp |-> Mesa 1*12 (wet left)
................................................................................................................|-> Mesa 1*12 (wet right)

I have been thinkin of adding a clean boost and a compressor in front of the amp and hooking them up in a MIDI pedal switcher, perhaps a G LAB switcher (MIDI 4 X LOOP M4L) and later on adding a good MIDI pedal (now I use a boss GT-8 to switch channels on the VH-4), perhaps a ground control.

I like the idea with the G Lab switcher that it has an opto mute circuit, it feels like the voodoo labs pedal switcher could induce clicks when switching in front of the amp.
