Axl always sucked live. I saw the AFD tour and the Use you Illusion tour and he always sounded like he was struggling live.

All the ingredients were RIGHT there for a kick ass presence.

And ultimately, I hear and see a lot of suck.

Sad.

I dont think we will hear from Axl for a while he will spend the next year filing lawsuits and trying to get every you tube video of Myles singing Gnr songs pulled down..

For the record ,I think Slash going out with Myles at RNR hall of fame and doing the classics better than Rose has in years was just a huge slap in the face. Axl pulled the whiny your nothing without me if I dont go your screwed, and they just dispelled that myth,

20 years of Marlboros, $50,000
Sounding and looking worse than any GnR cover band I've ever seen....priceless.

cause I really su-ah-uck......I'm way out of key-ah-ee....I' am king of doucheba-ah-aggs.

I really should be lip ah syncing cause I cannot sin-ah-ing

I couldn't stand Axl in his prime. It's even worse now. Some people don't know when to stop.

This just plain sucks balls. Axl should crawl in a hole and become worm food. Never dug him much either. Such a horrible already been done band. This shit was old when it was new and that voice grates on me like fingernails on a chalk board. Slash has never been that impressive either for that matter. Some pentatonic riffs with sustain. Ohhhh Ahhhh wow he is so awesome. Yeah.... Maybe Katy Perry should sing for GNR at least it would gimme something to look at. Glad I only watched a minute, if I wasted 8 more minutes of my life watching this asshat I should just off myself.

Axle sucked in that vid. I agree, but I will stand and say that while GNR was a hole I really liked them. Now it seems as axle went down hill and is trying to hold on to something that is gone. Sad.

AFD and most of Use Ur Illusion rocked. I saw them a few times live during AFD and luv'd it

I don't know if he always sucked live because I haven't seen THAT many live GNR performances, but almost everything out there on youtube during that era (early 90s) he sounding like he was struggling honestly.

I think he had a great rock voice, but his technique is shit, therefore his vocal chords are destroyed from having a very bad technique.

I saw Guns back in 199o or 91, and Axle was shit live, just horrible. His voice can't take the beating of a tour.

I have to agree with you guys, that was hideous. It was so hideous. I had to listen to the original to wash that clip out of my ears.

Axl sounds like a goat just about to be neutered compared to his former self. Even live.

Phew. Me not like.

I think axl was always hit or miss , but that was embarrassing especially in the beginning almost like a parody or that he has asthma and can't catch his breath.. I have to say that I saw them a few months ago in ac and his voice was actually pretty good.

Saw GnR warm up Aerosmith in Boston in 1988 and Axl sounded awesome. Saw GnR and Skid Row in 1991 and both Axl and Bach killed it. This was a mess.

That guitarist looks like a slash wannabe. Complete with hat and Les Paul. Only thing missing was the butt hanging from his mouth.

Thought it was a chick singing at first. Maybe he should smoke some more cigarettes.

I saw GnR when they toured with Brian May sometime in the '90's. Band sounded great. Axl sounded horrible. Got mad cause he sucked, pitched a hissy fit, cussed the sound guy, and slammed his mike down as he left the stage. The other guys just looked at each other like, "oh well, here we go again." Duff took over singing the rest of the set and that was the best they sounded all night.
