He was ALWAYS bad live and never liked his studio sauced up voice either. At least Bumblefoot is making some cake.

hes always sounded like shit with burning hair to me but this is terrible. he could sound better if he took better care of his voice, no drinking, smoking, dairy ect. judging from this id be very surprised it he did any kind of vocal exercises often
 
I thought the dude with the double neck guitar in the clips tone was way to modern sounding for that material.

I've seen G n R a ton of times, and it was always hit or miss (to some degree), but never like that pile of shit performance... (oh wait....does that make me a "couch guitar god")? :D

In their prime, G n R were capable of mind blowingly good shows, but Axl's ship has clearly sailed.
 
It looks like he is singing and hes afraid his false teeth are gonna come out. Like he cant open his mouth and sing like he used to do, like they will fall out.

That was a new level of suck. I saw them when they toured with Metallica and Axl was great that night other than being his usual douche-baggy self. Saw them again this last tour (I know, I know, at least got a night of drinking with the boys out of it LOL)- wasn't impressed with the band but Axl actually sounded pretty good- at least sang in key and hit all the notes, although his voice is much less powerful than it used to be and he was pretty low in the mix.

I think it's great that Slash & Myles went out & killed it.
 
This wasn't good but it sounds like the vocals are a direct feed right from the board before any effects are added--not the sound that is going out to the house. Hardly anybody sounds good like that.

I thought the band sounded very good.
 
I never though I would say this, but I would rather endure a Justin Beiber concert than try and make it through a performance like this. :doh:
 
Maybe he was sick? I don't know I'm not a fan of Axl as a person but I've seen some good live footage in the past. It's possible he just doesn't have it anymore.

The band wasn't that good either. Maybe everyone just had an off night. It happens. Regardless of the reason, that was not pleasant.

That ritz video vid is like 25 years ago .
I will not dispute his influence in music but even then at a lot of live shows he was hit and miss and was always more of a screamer.

Cant compare him to real singers like Coverdale, Dio , Stanley IMO
