Somebody posted the entire show.

Anika Cam, she killed it.

Is it Neal? No, and nobody else is going to be. If Portnoy was doing it or whoever, it's never going to be Neal. Anika can throw down and the most important thing everyone seems to be missing with complaints about Ged's voice or Alex's tone - the vibe is there, fans were digging it and that's the most important thing in my opinion.

Of course Ged can't sing that stuff anymore, Alex is sloppy and maybe his tone isn't as full as it could be, Anika might have rushed some stuff here or there but these guys and the fans were having a good time. And as I said, for the fans there to get lost in some classic Rush tunes, to see Alex, Geddy and Anika smiling, fans getting to relive their favorite songs and Alex and Ged getting to actually play their own music again- that's all that matters.

So, looks like a decent mix. You can actually hear the guitar.
Puts to rest Mr Audio (anal) Expert’s theory that you can’t get a decent cell phone video of a concert.😂
Rush last night-

Definitely better clips but they only reinforce Alex's guitar and digital amp tone is lackluster, have no depth, dynamics and don't breathe like his real tube amp Rig of the 2015 R40 Tour. It seems to me you can see that Alex is not getting the feel or feedback from the modeling amp.

I know alot of digital amp people will recoil at those comments but when you put both video clips side by side it's how I hear it and I don't think I'm the only one and it isn't tube amp snobbery IMHO.:dunno:

Portnoy? LOL I'm sure there's a good reason they didn't ask that guy. He probably wasn't even considered.

His fee? Talk about money. How about the high ticked prices for the thrill of watching Alex Lifeson play thru a $429 toy.
Think he gives a shit he's inaudible? He sounds like shit. Think he gives a rat's ass?

I'm a bug Rush fan. They are #2 on my list of all time favorites. I LOVE them.

That said, I didn't like this. Geddy's voice is not good and I don't like Anika's playing. When they announced it was her, I checked out a bunch of her videos and I just don't like her style. That goes for her doing the Rush stuff too. She sounds like she's always ahead of the beat or something.

Not a fan. Wish they would've just hung it up on a high note (pun intended.) But here we are....

And before someone asks... No, I don't have videos of me playing drums better than her, singing better than Geddy, me playing sold out arenas, etc...
I quit paying to see Rush after the subdivisions tour. Geddy in falsetto makes me sad.

I'm one of the biggest Rush fans ever and actually saw Moving pictures tour in 1981 BUT Ged's voice goes from ok to really bad. Anika is really good despite sections where she sounds a little off. She does nail the important fills!

Yeah his fee. Despite being a super fan himself, you honestly think Portnoy would do this gig for free or even at a discount? All those drummers I mentioned have “going rates”. Anika isn’t as well known or seasoned so it’s cheaper to get her. Yes I really do think that money was the main factor in her hiring, once they got past the technical proficiency aspect.

OH SO JUST BECAUSE GEDDY IS JEWISH HE'S TRYING TO CHEAP OUT ON DRUMMERS!?!?! REAL NICE BOYS.

/S
:p

You guys are cynical as fuck about this Rush tour, holy crap. I'm happy to see them playing live, and i don't feel entitled to have any control in how they do things. Yes capitalism has tainted even your favorite bands. Yes seeing legacy acts or arena shows are insanely expensive. Do i believe Portnoys "fee" had ANYTHING to do with him not being the guy they picked? Not for a second.

Not the first, nor the last time I'll have some man-baby call me a 'retard' for using technical knowledge to mildly challenge their feelings-based conclusions

I'd love to have seen Mark Zonder (Fates Warning) have a crack at the drummer role for this reunion. Crazy seeing him use a traditional grip for metal.
I'll just call you a retard bc this is RT and it'll make Carl happy🤣

where'd these links come from? i was a tape trader back in the day... is there a forum or a discord where people still tape shows with real equipment (not just phones) and post them?

As mentioned, dimeadozen & thetradersden. The tapers use real equipment as noted on the text file.

The d/l links are from Guitars101.

Lots of Rush concert recordings on Rush Archives & archive.org
