I don't get the whole "unforgiving" thing with the UL. I find it easy to play through, it keeps everything tight and neat.

I guess it's a glass half full/empty thing. "Difficult to play and unforgiving" to one, "articulate and clear" to another. I'm used to it, so it just seems "normal" to me, articulate/clear probably. But when I use other amps, it definitely feels like it takes a bit less effort, to me.

Was thinking the exact same thing

I assume it was just the perfect storm of typos

Ahh, been waiting for these to hit. Thanks for the review and clip, sounds like a cool metal amp. Looks mean too.

For what it's worth, I had an original Natas a couple years ago and it was a damn fine amp. Build quality was like I've never seen on an amp before, exceptional. Like many here, I've compared it to my UL and it was very similar, basically the UL was Mikes tonal reference to begin with, it was his favorite amp that he played for years.

I should of kept that amp  but I found it very expensive for a two channel amp and preferred the UL's versatility and tone. The UL is one special amp. Here's a pic of it my Natas, some might remember it:

It was a very aggressive amp with a unique tone, very unforgiving, tight clear gain. Like a UL.

Chris

Just to add, the UL doesn't hold a candle to the Fortin stuff as far as build quality, in the end you pay top dollar for Mikes products, but you get what you pay for. I find the VHT very flimsy compared to other amps. Plastic pot shafts is not the norm on high dollar amps

I thought the Natas sounded synthetic when I tried it (not as synthetic as something like a powerball, but still synthetic) and power chords lacked the growl I like. I much prefer my UL.

Fuck it. I dug it. I think it's got potential...we all throw new tubes and EQs and boosts and delays at amps anyway...I could make it usable for me. I'd rock it. Thanks for the vid Ben.

Yeah kind of flubbed there, had been up 28hrs.
Thought you guys might discern what I meant, obviously not. Certainly don't want someone's brain to explode.
If it sounded that way especially if that were 75's in the marshall cab, and you were recording straight on, it would prob sound pretty damn good in person!

Marked for later, damn iphone :(

That one on eBay sold quick for 2k

What's the actual street price on these?
