I once tried a Bad Cat combo. Maybe 10-15 years ago. Muffled ass garbage is being nice. Maybe the newer ones are better? I also had a Bad cat unleash to try and add a loop to a stock vintage Marshall. Again, that same muffled sound when I used that product.
Apparently, they are allergic to high end. Someone said that the Bad Cat circuit is a clone/copy/ripoff of a Naylor SuperDrive. The 2 SD60s I had were incredible amps....a description that Bad Cat amp I tried fell far far short of.

I think if you always use the 16 ohm jack on the amp, regardless of your cabinet impedance or power handling capacity, you’ll be safe

Another good tip:
If you bias the tubes a little hot, loosen the springs on the guitar, and have exceptional picking technique you can get a tremolo, reverb, phaser, chorus, echo, delay, wah effect just from the amp. No pedals needed.
