Signature guitars

I agree... A lot of them are really good guitars, but I would never own one (except for my Les Pauls :) )

I have a MXR Wylde OD, and I am embarrassed by it. I hide it under my pedal board.

I reckon that they would sell a truck load more if they also offered the same models but without the obvious references to whatever band or artist it may be.

5150's are pretty ghey too. les paul + 5150 = epic ghey

But the 5150 just has the signature, if it had stupid tribal designs or skulls I'd never buy it. Atleast the signature on my 5150 is discrete. I forgot that I had a signature amp. but I never even thought about that when buying it.

i'm joking regarding les paul and 5150. i know what you're getting at. i think the KH ESP looks cool, but i dont want his name on it. that's the cool thing about the warmoths, carvins, custom shops, etc of the world.. we like to have our own unique equipment

The only one I own is the Cantrell signature Rampage and a couple Jim Root Tele's.

Steve

How do you like the Jim Root Tele's? They look like a good option if I decide I want a "metal guitar" haha.

I think the "Hex-7" is tits but the flat black and the eagle on the neck is tired,it just kills it for me,and i want to buy this but i'd have a find a great painter to get rid of the lameness that's all over it.I think ESP is a little corny when it comes to sig models.Like thay really don't think things through clearly. And just go for the quick buck.
Maybe i'm wrong, kids might dig this mess.

Yeah, the extra decal crap does ruin these guitars. Even with the Fender series, I really want the Jeff Beck surf green Stratocaster (LSR Roller Nut and Schaller Locking Tuners), but it has his damn signature on the headstock. Too tacky for my tastes. That's all I need, answering questions after a set to explain who's signature it is. I don't love Jeff Beck that much!

The GE Smith Tele is one of the most tastefully done artist guitars I've seen. Great Tele sound, with some homage paid to Leo's lapsteel guitars. I love the inlays and the bridge single coil -- totally lapsteel inspired!

Another great signature guitar that you can't get anymore is the Gibson Tom Delonge ES 333. Say what you will about the artist, but that guitar is pure rock n' roll. A Gibson Dirty Fingers in the bridge, no neck pickup ala EVH (although I think EVH's other pickups were just not working, even if they were still on the guitar itself), sweet racing stripes, and locking tuners. I love it. I know you can order them still, but they cost more than they are really worth. But the satin finish and racing stripes is great. I saw a white one years back, with black racing stripes Google it, it'll probably come up. Some kid was selling it, and it wasn't the cheapo Epi version either!

I agree for the most part on the signature thing. Personally I love the EBMM Petrucci. I don't mind that it has the shield inlays. Never bothered me. Ultimately, my signature Anderson Drop Top is exactly how I would have had it all along.   :D

Can't get much better. Would I get more? why yes I would. Stupid logo? hardly, I love the f-holes, it just makes it so unique, and I was even thinking about putting faux f-holes on a non-PGM guitar!

and yes, I am a Paul Gilbert fan boy.

This is one of the few sigs that I would get. Even if it sucked to play. The only 7 string Ive considered. Im a V guy through and through, and if wasent for awesome dudes, a V 7string would not exist.

i have a couple of lynch sigs and ive owned quite a bit of signature esp's over the past 4 years .... and yea the reason i buy them is because they are tweaked versions of the shape i like .... not only that but i feel that there is a tad more attention to detail into these guitars than regular run of the mill standard production models ... id put my lynch axes up against anything they are completely beastly guitars and the paintjobs are amazing

here are some other sigs ive owned but sold.... lynch serpent, alexi laiho v's, dave mustain dv8, and an esp carpenter 6 string .... yes i am an esp fanboy and have redic brand loyalty

The only signature guitar I play is a KH-2. its plain enough not to be too gawdy. BUt i also like the little skull inlays :D

One thing I have to give this douche credit for is that he was smart enough not to actually put his name on the guitar, and the "Blackwater" thing can easily be removed...

Is he considered a douche? Not a sly question... I just seem to gather that Nickelback and Chad Kroeger are getting on peoples tits a bit on the other side of the Atlantic... Is this so?

In Canada there's a policy in place that requires radio stations to play 15% Canadian content.

What this means is that when a Canadian has a hit single you hear it every 6th or 7th song.

And, since the music industry seems totally unable to produce anything better than Nickelback it means we've endured 10 years of this shit.... which doesn't help when they insist on re-recording the same album repeatedly.

I don't know what it's like for Americans, but I guess they're subjected to something similar since they bitch as much as we do.

I do like the guitar.

if i could design the paint job myself, it would have been less outrageous. however, as far as the guitar goes...its the best ive ever had my hands on.

i wanted something from the custom shop (traditional solid body, long tenon neck, etc.) , but built for metal. this thing's maple neck, bigger frets, and stock emg's were perfect for the tone i was after.

now, zakk isnt drawing a lot of positive attention these days, but i kind of like how the bullseye looks...unique compared to other les paul finishes. if ive ever got a bunch of money laying around, i would love to have gibson just build me what i want...but ive got a long way to go before that happens. :)

  yes!

Signature guitars almost always have retarded designs on them that keep me away. However, the Ibanez JS series is perfect.

i was always a huge fan of checks bc rich stealth and a huge fan of steve smyth's 7 string ingnitor
