Sit or Stand?

When I started playing about 29 years ago, I always sat when playing/practicing for about two or three years. Then first band and gigs happened. When it got more serious, I realized one day that I couldn't play properly standing up simply because I really was not used to it. I then decided to always stand up when playing. I only sit when learning a tab or looking at a video guitar in hand in front of the computer.

For general, daily wood shedding, mostly sitting, which includes those extra practice sessions while on the can . For recording I always feel more focused when sitting as well as those now rare "study" times with a book, etc. I do like to stand sometimes when making a video or as others have said, when jamming with friends/bands obviously.

I do both when practicing. I start out sitting then I stand for a bit . I'm comfortable either way . I think the practice in the position you preform is for beginners
