Well, the gig itself went great. Titties were flashed, etc. The JSX sounded good for once. The bar owner said it was the best business they'd done in 8 months. I didn't break a string, and there were very few rough spots. Everybody loved us.

About 3 songs from the end of the show, the toilet in the women's bathroom overflowed and poop water made it's way out so far that my pedals were sitting in a puddle. Luckily, they didn't short out, but they now smell slightly of poop water.

Then, a drunk backed his car into the bassist's truck as we were loading up, and I had to pull his ass out of the car and hold him until the cops showed up. As you know, Monticello is not the city I work in. He ended up blowing a .289.

I'm not going to pretend I'm too cool for HCAF and I do hope it comes back up though because it is a place to grab major laughs and there are at least 6-7 posters that come to mind that I will miss corresponding with.

Indeed. Several of my favorite people to talk to on there aren't on here, and probably aren't even aware of Rig Talk, seeing as it's mostly the HCAF crowd from back in the day. As much of an embarrassment as some of the OT forums on there (should Amps be considered mostly an OT forum?) can be, there's enough legitimate stuff on there that I doubt it'll be abandoned entirely- at least for giving MF a bad name. I have to admit I'd miss it if the place became strictly on-topic only, though.

the main thing HCAF has over this place is the speed, the occasional classic off topic thread (EVH, OMNOMNOM, etc), and the classifieds. The classifieds over here are almost exclusively expensive stuff (probably owing to this being a generally older crowd)

I'm probably in the "older crowd," being 36, but I find a lot of shit over at HCAF funny as hell. Renoir does get annoying every now and then, but he's tolerable. 9ball used to get on my nerves, too, but he's gotten a little better, plus I've seen his myspace .

I can't think of a better $ to quality ratio out there in an LP style guitar.

Keep an eye out on ebay man, they can be easily had for $600-700 shipped in a case.

More than that usually, I just gave you a really good deal.
