Negative..

DC and WS are legend that had a killer body of work long before the 87' Record..

Great classic band, they had a cool vibe in the early days and Coverdale could sing his ass off. The musicians he surrounded himself with were no slouches either. Maybe not shredders but good musicians with an ear for hooks and song structure.A lot of the 70's guys were like this. Fantastic musicians.

First I heard was ‘slide it in’ cassette tape.
Was in junior high. Older uncle had it. Cranked it LOUD on a kenwood stereo. Blew me away!!

I went back later and revisited some of the older stuff. "Slow and Easy" is such a badass song as is "Slide It In". Whitesnake was a great band. I wish they would have just stayed with Sykes and the original bunch but guaranteed they wouldn't have had the success they did. There was something about those vids with the players they had in them, etc. that just took off.

Ya slow and easy was a game changer.
Remember making out to girl friends as a teen with that tape.

I just remember when Warren was on That Metal Show. Talk about about sucking. He looked scarred to death

I think I read an interview about it and he said he hated it .. he wasn't allowed to play any of his songs/solo (although he did slip in something from the 1997 album) and isn't really a jammer so was lost

That's strange, I wonder why they wouldn't allow him to play whatever the hell he wanted

yeah as Roman said below my original comment it is a royalties issue ... the producers of the show had no budge to pay for royalties on music so that even extended to live playing. Ted Nugent said to Eddie when he was told he could play any of his signature licks the "I own the fucking things and I give you permission to use them free" but that didn't fly legally apparently

Great song. They play that on the regular on Sirius Hair Nation and even Ozzy's Boneyard.

Twas crappy
I love Kage’s story about being backstage and seeing Rudy Sarzo in his dressing room staring at himself throwing rock poses front of a mirror as he fine tuned the art of licking his bass strings.

I can only imagine what Count Vaicula was up to in front if his practice mirror, romancing himself as his cornrow fans bathed him in smoke, coyly feigning romantic innocence behind his clip-on feather berets whilst thrusting belly dancer style with every wah wah press
