I'm pretty happy with the Nova System, but I can't seem to dial in a good Flanger sound? Do any Nova System users have a good sound they would like to share the settings for? Thanks in advance! Cheers.

Was hoping someone would offer some suggestions here because I have the same issue, very happy with the Nova System but not getting a great flange sound, just kind of "ok" at best.

Nope, The flanger pretty much sucks in the Nova. I have an EVH flanger on my board along with the Nova.

No tc product I played was able to perform a good flanger.
Buy the EVH. The perfect flanger.

Thank you! It actually makes me feel better to have someone confirm what I was thinking..lol..;-)

Everything else sounds good though. The tuner has a bad reputation too, so I've been using my trusty Boss TU-2. Other than that, I got it used for $225 and get a good phase, delay, OD/distortion, chorus, octave, and compressor out of it. Reverbs are probably good too, but I don't really use reverb. Bang for your buck, the Nova System is pretty cool.

Can you use the Nova System without using the OD/Distortion or is it always in the signal path?

I'd like to use one in the loop of my 5153 50w, but I don't want any 'tone' from the unit, just the effects..

Use the line input.

As the post above states, there are two inputs, guitar level or line level. Guitar level, the whole setup is in front of the amp, in which case you have an o/d option. If you use it in your loop, you use the line level, in which case that is not an option. You have to change the settings inside the Nova to tell it which setup you are using.

Also to the OP as others have said, the modulation effects are not very good, there is no way around that. I also have a EVH Flanger and phaser on my board.

Cool, thanks for the replies! I have a slight concern that I'll have the same issue with it that I have with the quadraverb (i.e. the loop send level is too low) but then it works for my DD3 so it can't be 'that' low..
