The NJ amp fest thing hasn't happened yet. It's difficult to gauge interest for this kind of thing and it seemed in general it wouldn't pan out, but now there's probably enough interest to make it worthwhile. I plan to visit NJ in a couple months to visit friends and go to Six Flags, so if that general time frame works, I can plan it around then. There's already a place we can use which has plenty of room, good parking right in front of the building, etc. It'd be in the Metuchen area (or very close to it, I forget exactly where the place is). We've used it before years ago for an amp fest.
If this sounds good, let me know (post, PM or email me from my site). I'd like to have a list of people who would definitely attend, if we can plan a date that's agreeable. With an amp fest, it seems lots of people say they'll "go for sure!" etc., but only a small number show up. It's not a big deal if only 10 people are there, in my opinion, but it might not make for an exciting time for others if they can't gauge how many people will be attending. And I'd hope that at least 10 people would want to attend.
It feels weird when you think 40+ people are showing up, and only 3 people do. That's happened.
I have some orders to complete, and I just moved, so I won't be able to travel for a couple months. But I could plan in advance and get dates nailed down if there's enough interest.
