god id kill for the isp theata head most gain outta any amp ever made with a decimator for each channel. with that 4x12 cab and the 1x15 active cab you would make ear drums bleed. probely the most brutal setup you can get. and i think it looks fucking sexy

I haven't played the newer Marshall mods, but I've played a lot of the standards. I have to go with the Soldano SLO.

PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DON'T DO IT!!!

i had one.

but first let me say i am a big fan of isp stuff. i have the vector sub for guitar, and all my heads have decimators in the loop, if they don't have a built in gate. and i would love to spend some real time with the 2x12/1x15 cab. and i was getting isp at cost, so i popped for the theta head.

worst tone i have ever heard. could not get a decent sound out of the distortion channel. was convinced it was doing something wrong. loaned it to a good bro who knew tone better than anyone i know. he had it for 2 months, and was amazed he could not get anything close to a decent tone out of it.

i was convinced it was gonna be a great amp. lots of control with the parametric mid. and with the ability to add the extra preamp, i was sure it would be the best solid state amp ever. boy, was i wrong.

i can honestly say it was the worst money i ever spent on guitar gear. i should have bought a second vector sub to back up the one i have now. sold the theta on ebay for $700 to get it the hell away from me. i could swear the amp sucked so bad it was making all my other good amps suffer just for being in the same house.

trust me, there is a damned good reason these amps are not being used by a lot of people.

Herbert is the king  Best Hi gain original sound.

If you want that Hi-Gain Marshall sound

CCV or Meathead can't go wrong with any of those

Fractal AXE FX Ultra kills also  but its not a head

god damn i guess im gunna have to try it out thers no clips of it i wont have 1600 bucks to spend on it anytime soon so it will have to wait

I wish I could somehow make a 100watt SUperbass head and a Dual recto fit into the same head.

As in 8 power tubes and 2 recto tubes along with two preamp sections that...

Nevermind I am stll a bit drunk and posting out me ass...

You don't need one. Just google Facebook Mako Amps. I don't have a FB account (and refuse to do it as well ;) ) and I'm able to see the video.

Maybe there are some other videos I can't see.

Make sure to try the DAR amps, the Forza is a killer head and IMO will hang with anything out there, plus it's got far more power, extremely versatile and a unique sound that isn't like anything else. They aren't a big name YET, but in time... it's a really new company.

who the fuck said a theta? thats a worse joke then a model T being mention'd in this thread. you want better then theta tone at 1/10th the cost? randall rg100. thetas blow

Shit, you've got a Herbert, that's the best one I've ever played through, anyway. I'm in the process of trying to sell my Road King II to help fund a Herbie as we speak.

Why not try something like a Quickrod, Titan Cerberus or, since money doesn't seem to be a problem based on your other purchases, a Wizard Modern?

Based off the new Exodus record, I'm pretty impressed with the Engl Savage 120, as well.
