your all wrong the isp theta head has the most gain in any head ever made
But it's the uggliest of the high gain heads, IMO
god id kill for the isp theata head most gain outta any amp ever made with a decimator for each channel. with that 4x12 cab and the 1x15 active cab you would make ear drums bleed. probely the most brutal setup you can get. and i think it looks fucking sexy
PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DON'T DO IT!!!
i had one.
but first let me say i am a big fan of isp stuff. i have the vector sub for guitar, and all my heads have decimators in the loop, if they don't have a built in gate. and i would love to spend some real time with the 2x12/1x15 cab. and i was getting isp at cost, so i popped for the theta head.
worst tone i have ever heard. could not get a decent sound out of the distortion channel. was convinced it was doing something wrong. loaned it to a good bro who knew tone better than anyone i know. he had it for 2 months, and was amazed he could not get anything close to a decent tone out of it.
i was convinced it was gonna be a great amp. lots of control with the parametric mid. and with the ability to add the extra preamp, i was sure it would be the best solid state amp ever. boy, was i wrong.
i can honestly say it was the worst money i ever spent on guitar gear. i should have bought a second vector sub to back up the one i have now. sold the theta on ebay for $700 to get it the hell away from me. i could swear the amp sucked so bad it was making all my other good amps suffer just for being in the same house.
trust me, there is a damned good reason these amps are not being used by a lot of people.
