Honestly sometimes I'm put off by the Kramer Beak..... But it's the original knockoff headstock....

And it doesn't look so bad and is growing in me....


Definitely dig the look here and good stuff. Makes me want to get a current production Pacer Carrera *_*


PS I think they have an open box at Zzounds of the 83 Baretta Reissue for a decent price and IME their Open box stuff is pretty mint/new with factory paper work and factory guarantee too

Their open box one is black and the price is great. Cannot find white anywhere other than new in box.

It may be a maple body.

Honestly hard to feel a diff between say Basswood, Ash and Alder but with Maple it's a distinct difference and it really does alter and affect the tone.


Current Pacer Carreras have Maple Bodies as well as the Baretta Originals and for good reason.

I have so many, I never even played this one. Also, those original pickups don't sound so good from what I remember.

Dude that body looks clean. The new current production are fantastic and I imagine a vintage one like this is pure bliss.

Totally worth a pup upgrade for sure. Plus sick headstock on this Pacer, Beaks look great for sure but there is no denying that Hockey Stick/Bannana shaped headstock.

Must be a Maple body. My OG Kramer Carrera was a maple body and was super heavy. Kramer used Poplar, Maple and some Alder. I've have two 1983 Imperials both are poplar bodies. I've also had that Carrera and another 83 or 84 Imperial which both were maple and noticeably HEAVY.

I've had to work on and fix many of the newer Kramers, specifically the ones built in Indonesia. They are hot garbage 9 out of 10 times. I used to get stoked to see one, but now if I see one come my way for a setup I have to pre-empt my client and tell them they'll most likely need fretwork. The high E also slips out from under the string tree like crazy on these new ones. I've been starting to wind the string the other way on the tuner to get it to sit further under the string tree. They are pretty cool once you get them all squared away.

I have seen some issues on the 83 Baretta reissue coming out of Japan, how about you?
