The Kramer Thread....... Not a Seinfeld thread *_*

I've had to work on and fix many of the newer Kramers, specifically the ones built in Indonesia. They are hot garbage 9 out of 10 times. I used to get stoked to see one, but now if I see one come my way for a setup I have to pre-empt my client and tell them they'll most likely need fretwork. The high E also slips out from under the string tree like crazy on these new ones. I've been starting to wind the string the other way on the tuner to get it to sit further under the string tree. They are pretty cool once you get them all squared away.
I have seen some issues on the 83 Baretta reissue coming out of Japan, how about you?
I've played a few Music YO Kramers and recently a reissue Imperial at GC last year or so. The Music Yo's were a bit better and the reissue Imperial felt fairly cheap and the frets weren't really jumbos IMHO. Everything felt cheap compared to an OG Kramer. It's possible the Kramer hockey stick Baretta are better quality but I haven't played one only a couple of Imperials at GC.

I also felt the Charvel alder bodied So Cal I had at that time was a better guitar with nice jumbo frets as well as playability.

The QC, fit and finish, nice jumbo frets and fret dress, hardware as well as playability is far superior on my 2023 EVH Wolfgang Special I recently picked up off of CL and I really wasn't expecting that. I got an EVH striped series in trade around 2017 and that guitar wasn't doing it for me either so I gifted it as a wall hanger to a good friend of mine who loves VH and we've seen alot of VH shows together over the years.

How are the Indonesia made kramers?
Honestly IMO I feel better than the EVH Indonesian stuff or even South Korean stuff.

I'd put the quality as good or better than my Charvels tone and function wise....... overall quality is on point in general IMO and just good stuff IME.

I haven't had hands on experience with those yet. But if they're from Japan they're gonna be great. Worlds better than Indo, Korean and Mexi stuff.

These are the only 3 I can find reasonably quick photos of.

I also had a Nightswan, a Condor (Explorer), a Pacer Custom 1 (HSS w/ on/off toggles), a Pacer Imperial with a Holoflash Grid finish,

There is no guitar I wanted to work for me more than Kramer guitars, and they just didn't. I haven't totally given up hope, but I'm definitely not going to pay a lot of money to take a chance on one for nostalgia.
