Lol, no way! :) I turn 40 in a couple weeks, but I sure didn't buy the Malmsteen strat to play blooze!

Well I kick myself everyday for not buying my first Les Paul sooner.

I love my strat (non Fender), but I love my LP, tele, 335, gretsch, too. A tool for every place and a place for every tool.

Yeah, I would hit this John Cruz, Masterbuilt 60's Strat in seafoam green for the right price.

Oh I don't know... Malsteen, Impellitteri, Norum,... They all used Strat and shredded quite well. Heck even Paul Gilbert is using single coils(sort of) these days.

I used to go to blues jams around here but had to stop because the players were all so horrible. For such a 'simple' form I find it to be the most butchered.

No doubt about that. It appears easy on the surface so it attracts those prone to taking shortcuts or looking for instant gratification. Unfortunately things like phrasing, vibrato, intonation, and dynamics are completely lost on these wannabe hacks. You can add taste and tone to that for most of them as well.

Wait, who? never heard of them.

I appreciate the strat for versatility, but I'm a Tele man myself!

Dude, there's no denying the power and allure of the Tele! Definitely my 2nd favorite!

Wow... If Blues is simple, than the Jazz styles that don't utilize bends or vibrato must be a cake walk...

I love Tele's too. Love Les Pauls. Love Ibanez. Love ESP's. Love Gretsch................................Love em all.

just swapped the tone cap in my partsocaster from .047 back to .022. it lacked the quack. the quack is back.
the .047 really let through too much bottom end and made things muddy.. so i went back to the stock value. un-blocked the trem and re-set that as well. love the tones i'm getting with it now.
i've been on a kick lately where i've been going through some of the gear i've accumulated over the years and either finding a use for it.. making something useful out of it.. or getting rid of it.
