I’m a CC fan and never wavered. I was 10 and two years into playing guitar when that album came out so I learned it as much as I could.

Big fan still of the first 3 albums. I never understood the hate for CC, but to each their own.

I liked the tone a lot on was first three albums in especially flesh & blood.

I was in high school when Poison came out. I think C.C. got written off in a lot of ways because his contemporaries were Lynch, DeMartin, etc. Also I think because he was using the whammy bar a lot, etc. He is actually a great guitarist for playing what is good for the song.

Much of the hate for some of the hair metal bands was the look, and the lighter, simpler 4/4, pop-metal vs the heavier bands IMO. Mostly from musicians or people that liked heavier music.

Back in the day, I played in hard rock, punk, hair metal, prog metal, thrash and death bands. The most fun (and money, and regular gigs) I had playing was being in hair metal bands; looking out into the crowd and seeing mostly women, mostly hot women.

Some were strippers, I got to know many; and had a side hustle being a driver for strippers, which introduced me to more strippers. The strippers I knew would come to our shows and bring friends...filling our audience, and finding me more driver work. Good times.

I remember reading a long time ago CC was a fan of Johnny Thunders.

You can clearly hear Talk Dirty to Me in this song.
