The stupidest shit youve heard a guitar store guy say......

"It's impossible to have a parallel-connection speaker cable Y-adapter."
Either that or it was "series"... Wrong both ways.

At a Guitar Center years ago I grabbed a Squire tele because it was on a floor stand next to some amp I wanted to hear. The fret ends were cutting my hands, action was high as F, and the jack was intermittent. Sales kid walks up with a big smile and says "that is one of the nicest playing and sounding guitars in the store!"

Then I show him that I am bleeding.

Was it The Living End ?
You should have photoshopped your amp wall but instead of the heads just have stacks of PODS on top and said yep here what they used lol
Unfortunately not. They are on my wish list to work with but no cigar to date.

The band was Powderfinger, not sure how well known they are out of Oz. Good album (Vulture Street) that was produced by an American fella called Nick DiDia. He engineered tonnes of great records for Brendan O'Brien back in the day - Pearl Jam, STP, Rage, Velvet Revolver etc - so was a good guy to learn from.

I was once yelled at for pulling my dick out at Guitar Center.
I once had to yell at the guy at guitar center because

Very very cool . Well call up the living end and warm some pods up for them

Of course we all know it would defy the laws of physics :dunno:

I opened up the little boxes that a pair of 12AX7s were in just to take a quick look before paying for them and the clerk admonished me not to touch the glass with my bare hands - as if they were an old fashioned projector light bulbs or something.

If a purely digital 5150 Hypersonic gets unplugged in the forest, does it blow up or still make a sound?
If it’s a California Forrest and has a PG&E inspection sticker on it, re-schedule your cabin.

Nevermind, you should hear the guys at the big box fishing stores.

I tend to avoid the guitar store employees unless I need something I can't find on my own.

I had a floor manager at Guitar Center Westlake Village tell me that the used Peavey 5150 head they had was designed for "classic rock and pop" like Van Halen as it's the EVH signature amp. Then explained to me that they had "other amps made specifically for metal" in the store. I just starred at him blankly waiting for a punchline that never came. I kid you not my friends.

I wonder what his qualifications were to be floor manager? Probably produce manager at Kroger before GC, so knowledgeable about the shelf life of lettuce, etc.

i feel so sorry for gc employees. its where musicians go to die.
God, to think that there was a crossroads in my life where i had the choice of learning culinary arts from a certified master chef, or going to work at guitar center with my friends who were talking about how their job was so great, but ended up quitting for one reason or another. Glad i chose the cooking thing. I'm in guitar center once or twice a week to walk through their used gear, and the shit i hear people asking the sales guys is fucking amazing. I have to repress the urge to go "DO YOUR FUCKING RESEARCH!" You simpletons are going to let GC employees guide you or answer your questions??? Whew... i don't have that much faith in sales people because i have a brain of my own.
