I rarely use my radio these days. Lately, I've been learning Tuvan Throat Singing, so I practice while I drive. It's almost like meditation. I chant with this peaceful demeanor, only to be thrust back into hurling profanities at the other careless drivers. Zen ruined. Calm down.

OOOOOOAOAOAOAOAOAOAOAOAOAH

If you're only into it for $800 you've done great I enjoy a good stereo in my pickup although - stock but it makes a big difference when you upgrade

When I was a kid everyone had 2x12 subs and nobody gave a shit about the highs. All the cars were just driving around rumbling but couldn't hear the song itself.

F ear damage.... That massive low end can fuck with your heart and other vital organs.

i remember hearing long ago someone actually died at a competition in his car when his heart started beating with the bass, never knew if it was actually true

Alpine was the end all in my town. I remember when I bought my first car…a 73 Duster (straight 6 haha) and it had a sunroof (had to crank it open) but most importantly, it came with an Alpine tape deck. I was king for a day at 17 lol
..and hooked up to rear deck surface mounted 6x9's

New cars these days are pretty well stocked with decent stereos and if your have Sirius/XM thats all HD
Even local stations here will offer 2 or 3 different voicings .

I can now understand what James Brown has been saying since I heard it in High Def.
(and Ozzy too)

I was the first guy in my town to have 15's...lost the back seat in my gt but so worth it. mtx roadthunder II 3 way cab and 2 coustic 460 amps bridged.....yea buddy....

Was a big fan of Clarion back in the day. Then I gravitated to Alpine head units, Eclipse amps and JL speakers. I had a lot of fun doing my own installs back then. These days I feel like there's too much shit that runs through the vehicles factory stereo to try anything aftermarket,

I’m really digging it hardcore. ?
Old Aerosmith. Ac/dc just pounding like in a rock stadium. Like posted above ..... I’m in my own little world. ?
Just my back forth work truck. But man. It gets me in the zone throwing down on some Overkill.
I really don’t myself much things the past few years. But this wasn’t a want. But a need!
After I heard my buddies system in his truck. Mind blowing. Haha ?

Find yourself the John Fogerty Premonition live performance. It was the "demo" for my system.

I had a pair of 12" Audiomobile Mass subs in a sealed box with 1500 watts on them. Mids and highs were from a Kicker component set with 100 watts per side. Crossed over at around 70hz. Sounded great. It would vibrate cd cases off the seats and I could forget about any of my mirrors being useful.

Today it's just stock stereo. :(

Ya man that’s what I’m talking !!
I watch my rear view mirror jiggling around. Haha
Loving it.

Loud tunes while driving rules. It’s easy to get old and drive around listening to background bullshit.
Thrown on some old school jams and crank it. It helps deal with the morons on the road nowadays.
Plus, those tones we all love take on a new meaning when you put some volume behind it. Old Aerosmith……doesn’t get much better.

Areosmith ‘lick and a promise’.
Cranked. Really new level.

What year truck?
I had nice systems in my last 2 cars, Mustang and Wrangler, but have the stock system in a new F150. Sux. I miss having good sounds, but not sure how to get around the huge 12" screen/brain/controller of all things to upgrade.
