Because they cashed in on power metal (which most people hadn't heard before ) in the 2000s - it was novel and new to most Americans as far as popular culture

They of course suck and can't play, but they pro toolsed it up, and just sucked dick live - but their studio creations found their way into guitar hero.

And like I said, most Americans hadn't heard metal this fast and melodic before so Dragonforce is THE band every normie associated with the genre even though they are objectively a shit band, especially compared to how talented most of the bands they tried to copy are.

One thing I think I can say for-sure is that her pitching sounded pretty-badass for live.

A couple more positives to balance the flak DF's received in the forum these past few days:

I like how they deliver on the lead breaks. Not just the "quality" but the length. Well 90% of the time anyway.

I like that their melodies are musical and often really-catchy.
