This DragonForce is EFF'ing horrible

I gave that whopping 11 seconds. Even less for the one @Shreddy Mercury posted. That was complete cheese, I consumed a lot of cheesy hair metal in the 80's. And what's with all the video games on stage and in that video? Is that part of their schtick?

@Monkey Man - always trying to keep things in balance   :poke: :D

A couple more positives to balance the flak DF's received in the forum these past few days:

I like how they deliver on the lead breaks. Not just the "quality" but the length. Well 90% of the time anyway.

I like that their melodies are musical and often really-catchy.

There. Someone had to say something positive at some point.
How's this for positivity: at least in this band Alissa is in, the guitar players are proud of their cocks and not ashamed of them.

I feel like these guys started this band as a joke/novelty and they’re just as surprised people took it seriously but they can’t give up the ghost now.

Mystery solved!...

dragonforce, the polkadot bozos and this genius bring me endless comfort knowing i am out of touch with this musical generation.

I'm assuming this gig pays better than Arch Enemy? Otherwise I don't get it as far singer goes. But I'm not their demographic.

They've always been sorta parody band made by guys enjoying their time in my book, which is perfectly fine. Now that they have the smurf things got more serious and, as consequence, more stupid.

Every fas metal at these outdoor festivals mostly sound like shit . I’ll be honest . I’ve never enjoyed sbd fast metal outside . It just don’t sound good like in a club . I don’t do out door shows period . If you’re into a good mix I hare outdoors . I feel like I’m at the movies and not a metal show when it’s outside .

Nailed it. It washes out. Good metal is meant to be played indoors around 10:30 pm with lights and ambiance.

The ambience outside is so bad it ruins it . But I agree too . It’s been 10 years since I went outside . And I was like never again
But AC/DC at Ohio Stadium I’m making an exception . Classic rock translates well outside . Metal is too compressed to sound good outside

Classic rock and smokin bud and jam bands is awesome in the morning outside. Metal bands get a lot of badassnees from lighting and control of EQ in venue. I am not telling you anything you dont know

This is why most death, thrash, power, etc extreme metal bands tend to slow their sets down for festival gigs (unless they are really insecure about their tightness, then they speed it up on purpose and blame the soundman)

To make it less of a mess, because they know how this works with outdoors sound reinforcement

This is compounded by the effect of the sound "bouncing" indoors which can lead to tempo speed ups, and sound being "lost" outdoors which can lead to tempo decreases

It’s just shit period . That’s what I call it . I’ll never pay to see a metal band out doors again . Total wasted of money imo Everytime I was outside . Between the buried and Metallica only metal bands that had a decent out dirt sound . But it’s lame . Especially outdoor shoes in America . But if I was in South America where the fans really give it up I’d pribsvky still go

What about your toenails?
lol I meant a show . I walk barefoot in mud when warm . I really dint care . That shit is good for body and soul . Barefoot on ground .Grest pics coming this summer lol
Now thst I know how much you all love them lol
