more importantly he can write.

he has sold lots of records.

he loves all thing guitars

he is just as much if not more of a gear freak as any of us

i have met him on numerous occasions and he has always been very gracious with his time and chatting about gear.

I'm not a Tremonti hater, and I dig some of his music, but I can't stand to watch him play. It's ego and machismo to the max. Like the world's best frat-boy guitarist.

Love him or hate him you can't knock his success. I for one wouldn't mind walking in his shoes for a little bit......and yes, I am a fan of his. I think his rig appears complex but in reality it's no more complex then some of the others I've seen.....he just likes running multiple heads for various reasons and at times together.

Many thanks for posting this as this is the first I have seen this. We met up with Mark last summer/fall when he was on tour in upstate NY, which is when he began using the V-Rock Dual Lead. Mark and I were talking yesterday regarding our soon-to-be-released "ODS" Series. We are going to synch up in NYC so he can demo it and so we can service his V-Rock.

Mark is a gear whore like the rest of us .. I know he has a Diezel Hagan in route, he loved the CCV but hasn't gotten one yet, used the two rock for many years with an uber and mesa recto...now currently using the voodoo dual rock. The fact that they are riding the Creed thing all the way to the bank disappoints me a bit..but really can't blame him. I Have huge respect for Myles Kennedy!!

Actually, since we're going there, his hair cut doesn't bother me at all, the arm shaving is a bit metro sexual though.

For the record since some of you guys have sand in your vaginas, I dig a lot of his music, I think he's a great song writer, yes, he's better than me because he makes money playing guitar, etc.

I don't like WATCHING him play. Leg hiked up of the monitor, head shaking, the whole image seems douchy to me. But that's just my opinion. lol

Creed = Shit......to me. Scot was a douche of epic proportions. Seems every project Tremonti is involved in though, has all these religious undertones. Its just not something I care to listen to. I won't knock the guy as a player and professional though.

Despite looking like a bit of a douche on stage and his excessive use of wah, I like his playing. He's actually anything but arrogant in the interviews I've seen of him...far from it. That said, I like Myles' phrasing and tone more...Hopefully the CCV will bring some mids into Tremonti's tone...

Yes, I looked like a chick but I take great pride in the fact that I never wore spandex or makeup, and I probably would have hooked up with more women if didn't wear Iron Maiden and Priest t shirts. I don't think I ever put my leg on the monitor and shook my head around either though.

Mark Tremonti is one of the most down to earth "rockstars" I've ever met. It's sometimes shocking how nice the guy is. I've been lucky enough to meet him a few times and he went out of his way to chat for quite a while. His tone is up and down for me, love it at times and hate it at times. He usually gets a pretty rocking studio tone. It's inspiring to see his dedication to his instrument. The guy is practicing/playing all day. The drum tech for Alter Bridge told me he plays guitar 7-9 hours a day...not including shows. I know he's capable of more than he shows in videos and lessons. Honestly, I'm sick of the wah and sick of his legato licks.

And about the religious stuff in the writing, I want to say I recently heard him and Myles both are now atheists. Myles for sure.

Tremonti is a great guitar player and song writer. I just don't get why people hate just to hate. Also, who gives a fuck what religion he is? Everyone that writes has their belief system in their writing. There are plenty of great guitar players that I don't care for their playing, but I don't hate them. There are plenty of song writers that write stuff that I don't believe in but I still listen because I like the music. I just wish people would get over themselves and their jealousy of other people's success.
