If you have the opportunity to check one out, the Diamond Nitrox is a 3 channel amp, with a decent clean channel and dual volume and gain controls for the dirty channel. It's got a great modded Marshall thing going on at lower gain levels, and approaches Uberschall type high gain tones.

Definitely worth checking out.

I have a Mesa TC-50 that I grabbed because my Mark V is crapping out, needs some work. Up loud the bottom end isn't an issue, but an MXR 10 band EQ in the loop fixes pretty much any possible issue/need you need to deal with. I've used one live and had the master past the halfway point, so pretty loud. At that point the clean breaks up a bit and the lead boost runs out of headroom but it's already blasting loud at that point. It's a real solid amp and killer for the price. I actually have mine on Reverb right now.

The Gus G Blackstar I have has 4 channels and two boosts, it does everything and moderately priced. I had a Diezel VH4-S which was great, but 3x the cost.

But yeah, I agree. Sometimes it is fun to see an old thread but only if it is something that can still be relevant and that people can add on to. It is another to bump a thread like this. @peckhart is a smart dude and I'm sure he has found something to scratch his itch by now like you said And before anyone accuses me of bumping it as well - it has only been 21 minutes so it ain't taken up space at the moment.

What I think is happening @MadAsAHatter - is that people see the "Similar Threads" at the bottom and think they are simply at the bottom of the main current forum, when in fact they are looking at shit from the past. Somewhat annoying actually. If I had a vote I would remove it. If I decide to make a new thread I'm already conscious of whether or not it is a repeat of something from last week. /rant
