Well... it really isn't a money problem for me either but absolutely zero information about the preamp, no youtube or netmusicians clips or anything besides a few pictures and a big price tag just make it a bit too much for me to put that kind of investment into and risk not liking it at all.

The Larry stuff is so overbuilt you are playing for the labor, no contesting this. I've seen and played his work and saw what tubes he uses...

Are you going to upload a few sound clips of this preamp soon? I'm totally in the dark as to how it would sound (except for the Iced Earth reference).
@fastredponycar high price is a result of the excange rate as well. Think what mesa and peavey costs over here in Europe.

You goin' all rack Matt? The only reason I am saying this is because it hasnt been said but the Rocktron Prophesy II is fucking sick for the money (used that is, new that are overpriced like crazy).

No. Just figure that now that I have a Fryette 2/50/2, it'd be fun to check out some pre-amps - besides the AXE. I was a little disappointed with how the AXE faired this weekend when some friends came over and we started cranking up the amps. Patches that I had been happy with suddenly felt lacking.
