unconfirmed...Bendinelli retiring from Mesa in about a month

I just got my Mark IV back. Sent it in beginning of Nov. I was told anything except warranty repairs had to be approved by Mike. Makes sense if he is retiring he would want to regulate his work load. Luckily he took it in and I just got it back 2 days ago.

And this is why Mesa should buy him out.....

Pay him 8-10 million dollars...... Or something that makes sense.

And have him train new workers to meet his standards and remain as a consultant on some level when it comes to repairs and amps in general..... In a 3-5 year contract.

Dudes like this don't grow on trees :dunno:
Never happen. Gibson is to dumb. They should have paid Randy to stay on board if nothing else but for PR. Who will buy a new Mesa amp design that doesn't have Randys fingerprints on it? They basically castrated their cash cow by firing him. Reissues, speaker cabs and current models from here on out. Luckily the used market is full of Mesa amps of all kinds.

Problem here is QC would never be up to Mike B’s standards. Too many intangibles. That would be like trying to teach Hammett how to execute a pleasant vibrato. Not gonna happen

What if it's unpleasant + wrapped in a blanket of wah?

Well nobody is a bigger fan of Boogie than I but im not under the "delusion' that Gibson can successfully manage MESA Inc.
I might be onboard if Juszkiewicz came back.
The day may come that they run Mesa into the ground, but they haven’t yet.

The mark V, JP & 7 were all great amps in their own right. The Badlander, Fillmore, Cali tweed & recent reissues are pretty great for what they are as well.

Damn that sucks, enjoy your retirement Mike. #SteelyDanSunsets

Dan, we agree more often than not and no disrespect to you intended at all, but IMO God forbid Henry Juszkiewicz comes back. Epiphone quality got exponentially better after he left. I've sold a fuckton of Gibson Les Pauls over the years and my Epi LP Trad Pro IV smokes a lot of the Gibby LP's I sold. Thick carved maple top, the pickups sound damn good and I love the neck on this geetar. I've heard more good reports than bad regarding the new Gibsons.

What happens to Henry when he takes Viagra? He gets taller.

Don't think Hank would ever come back. Kinda think he was forced out. Not an epi expert but with Henry Gibson Custom Shop thrived and $300 epi's were just that, $300 not $1500.
Henry took the Norlin mess and made it a success for better or worse but he also gave us the "Firebird X" LOL>
Henry's downfall was being to "diversified."

What any good mesa boogie cult member would do.... CAPITALIZE BABY!
i'm headed right over to Reverb.com to list my mark IVa for 10 grand because mike worked on it a year ago! :ROFLMAO:

Justin just got done doing a Triaxis repair for me (and reversing the Phat mod), and at an insanely good rate. He's definitely okay diving into the gore that is the Mesa layout cluster, and getting you sorted quickly at a solithat

Good to hear, since I have a new OG TriAxis (no Phat Crap). Hopefully it won't need anything for a very long time, but at least it sounds like the repair dept was left in good hands.

can Justin loop mod a IIB?

Call them up and ask :) They're trying to limit work they take right now due to a massive backlog, so you might need to wait a bit before they'll accept it, but it could be possible. You could also ask to see if you can speak to him directly. Pretty sure his last name is Barr. I technically didn't even ask; I just included a note asking if he could do it for me while he's in there fixing my unit.

Word of warning, some of their phone systems suck. Gibson had them convert everything from their old system to their new system. Definitely some pains in the shop in terms of overall logistics, it seems. But they're getting the work done.
