Possibly my favorite amp ever.
It's stable, promise.I am really happy for you.
I bet that thing can get really heavy
I really wanted to just say your biasing methods are scaring me![]()
Thanks! I'll check these out. It's amazing how much variation there is in sound with slight tweaks in the gain and eq settings. All o'clock...

The "bypass effects loop" on back is important for the sound.

Mid - 10
Treble - 1~2

This is my settings. Spongy or tube rectification for variation. It becomes more noticeable with volume.
There is good sounds on Orange and Red with gain in the 9-10 o'clock range a lot of people overlook.
Awesome. I love those huge cabs. A motivated champ of a man gigs those. I have my old man's Gibson-Maestro, it was the first amp I ever played but needs a little work. It's a great sounding amp but only 15 watts. I'm not sentimental about much but I'm kinda sentimental about it so I built a nice cab for it since it was just in some crappy homemade head shell when he gave it to me.My Poppop's mid 60's Dual Showman with matching big 2x15 cab with D130fs. I learned how to play thru that amp, and have been hauling it everywhere since I was 17. Hardly play it anymore, but sentimental value keeps me from selling. The circuit has been maintained and sounds great, but loud.
Some of those old Gibson low watters have the best sound. I once heard a tweed Falcon in GC. I was going to buy it, it sounded so good. But the guy playing it had the same idea. I used to haul that Showman setup up to friend's houses when starting out, using a distortion pedal. They all had Randalls and Peaveys, and looked at me like I was crazy. Bet none of them still have those amps tho!Awesome. I love those huge cabs. A motivated champ of a man gigs those. Mine's a GA-2rvt and is supposedly a Seth Lover designed circuit and is basically all breakup. Quite a blues machine. I have some grey glass Sylvania's in it. Killer recording amp but it's a bit fragile. There was less than 400 made so it seemed prudent to hang onto it all things considered. Some of those old Gibson low watters have the best sound. Yeah, I'd keep that.Mine's a GA-2rvt and is supposedly a Seth Lover designed circuit and is basically all breakup. Quite a blues machine. I have some grey glass Sylvania's in it. Officially geeking out on this amp.
Bluesy stuff, Blues mode on red channel, CS Tele, King of Tone:
It has a different sound than anything else I have. Loving it.Sounding great!!!
I understand the bottom sentence all too well when acquiring some extra sweet gear.It has a different sound than anything else I have. Loving it.
I gotta sell something now.
I keep saying that I'm going to sell off a lot of gear, trim down to the bare necessities. Like 2 amps, 2 purpose built pedalboards, 2 cabs...and, I can't see moving any guitars. LolI understand the bottom sentence all too well when acquiring some extra sweet gear.
