Well, Tuesday he was on the couch as usual and the batteries in the remote went out while "The 300" was on. So obviously he was forced to watch it while he waited for someone to come home and change the batteries. Otherwise he wouldn't know that Iran used to be Persia. Key word being "Used to be".

The US public, in general, can't stand the least inconvenience. If gas prices stay up or go even higher, if items that depends on oil and gas start to show up in short supply, etc, there will be a public riot.

-Before the war, oil and goods flowed freely through Hormuz. Now, Iran has demonstrated the ability to close it at will, which they had never done in the past.

-The US is exposed as a paper tiger, unable to unseat even a relatively weak opponent. Let alone a near peer like China or Russia. You guys just have expensive toys.

-Speaking of expensive toys, Iranian strikes during "Operation Epic Fury" (April 2026) caused over $5 billion in damage to US military bases and equipment across the Middle East, with 16 sites in seven countries heavily impacted.
