Vh4 ch3 . Super raw no compression

Sounds really good brother! In terms of "raw", the VH4 is the least "produced" sounding amp in the Diezel line in my opinion. But compression? the VH4 is not a particularly "open" sounding amp and I believe that 8 out of 10 players would describe it as fairly compressed. In any case, I think it's an amazing amp.

I think Ch4 is pretty compressed, but it's supposed to be. Ch3, maybe if the compressor was set with a really high threshold and a lower ratio. It doesn't ever go splat and it retains that punch and grind that makes it so good to play. Ch2 is a lot of fun, too. The VH4 is one of the few amps where all the channels are really usable.

Absolutely, great amp all around with 4 truly different tones available...on the latest revision, channel 2 is not talked about enough. It's almost like a JCM800 made perfect in almost every possible way.

I couldn't agree more, I spend a lot of time on Ch2. Great dynamics and great clarity, a lot like a 2203, but voiced a little differently, thicker. For that matter, Ch1 is really good, too. It's not the typical Fender or Vox clean. I can get just the right amount of drive out of it, too, so it's still clean but with a good push behind it.

I understand all the love for Ch3, but it's kind of a shame that it overshadows the three other channels. They're ALL really great. No compromises anywhere.
