as far as i'm concerned this guy is the king of the g-force:

http://www.simeonharris.co.uk/

his clips put the tc website clips to shame.

hell, I think your clips of the arion chorus, verb , a bit of delay and compression blow away the tc website clips.

thank you my tone brother!

brahski, your clips of the JVM are still the best i've heard from that amp. mark c. should send you his new modern for clippage as well!

You are very welcome Brother Pat!! I always love the tones that you get.

That said, I have already told Mark and Chris that my next amp will be a CCM-100. I am literally fighting back using my tax return to fund the amp! Im getting way to close to killing the credit debt to do that but the urge is killing me! That amp is special IMHO

Thanks for the clip Pat!! I must say, it´s the first time I have heard the 1210 sound good. I owned one and didn´t care for it

If this is the kind of stuff you want, you HAVE to run the processors in a mixer. I have slightly downsized my rack now but when I had a SPX90 doing pitch, Roland RSP550 doing chorus, GForce doing delay/reverb, it sounded HUGE. I just dropped the SPX90 but damn, I might have to put it back in the rack one of these days.

If you want to get a slightly-less money version of this behemoth get a Roland SDX330 for chorus, Yamaha SPX90 for pitch, TC D-Two for delays and a Lex MPX1 for reverbs. Run them into a decent mixer and you are nearly there.

I still need to dick around with the reverbs on the GForce, still not 100% happy so Pat, if you have any tricks... :D

This is good info Youri, thanks man.

can't wait to hear you blaze on that one brobro! what amps do you still have around these days?

i really do think that the CCM is the best sounding high gain amp out there for my tastes, and i mean that as no disrespect to the eggie EG5, diezel herbert, vht sig x, suhr od100, splawn quickrod, bogner uberschall, elmwood modena...they are all worthy of that highest realms of boutique tone...but i think mark just specializes in THAT sound first and foremost, like fuchs does his thing, vic does his, etc....

consequently i dont think the clean sounds in the CCM are top of the heap like two rock, nor do i think i could pull a fuchs/two rock dumble sound out of it, but what it does it does best.

Sup Brother!

I have the MKIII coli, the MKIV, The 71 Bray superlead , The Metro and the Powerball which will be sacrificed to go and take the egnater amp building class! I also have the Peavey rockmaster which really sounds good!!

I agree with you aboyt the CCM. That said, i think it has a killer clean for a high gainer. The CCV's is amazing actually!

Hey Ralph did you get to play both? Im about to put in an order on the CCV-100 when i get my cash, and when i have spoken with Mark... Im still 99.9% sure the CCV is what im after, but i guess it wont hurt talking about both amps with Mark just to be certain!

nice demo Pat. I really like the chorus clean tone the best of all. good tones!

Ive tried both and I love both amps. they are both winners Dan. The CCV has less gain then the CCM and it is voiced a bit differently (I can actually hear it on the clips)
I will own both for sure. The reason why Im going for the higher gain version is because I will be playing more stuff that is in that realm. That said, they both kill hence my gas for both brother!

me too!

and remember, i didn't change any patches in the 2290 or pcm80 when i changed to the eggie lead channel....i just bypassed the 1210 and the rocktron comp. the pcm added way more fizz to the lead tone than was happening with the dry cab, which was OK.

Damn it Youri the D-Two is freaking around $450 :gethim:

Shop around, look 2nd hand, they can be had for much less. I once bought a D-Two and 1210 for about $600. Didn't care for the 1210 and sold it for $650. $50 and a free D-Two.

Wish I never sold my D-Two though   It's probably the best delay-unit behind the 2290.

Lexicon MPX1 can be had for about 300, does great pitch shifting AND reverb AND delays. SPX90, also pretty cheap, got mine ultra-cheap for $25 (bought 2 for $175, sold 1 for $150   ). The SDX330 is harder to find but usually goes cheap as well. RSP550, which I have also does great modulations and is also cheap. A lot of the old Roland stuff sounds great but has to be run in parallal/thru a mixer.

Well I need to shop where you are cause I did score a MPX-1 for $300 but that was a freak accident and have not seen that since! Yeah the SPX90s are cheap, any differences in that and the SPX90II?

I plan on a mixer

SPX90II has longer delay times. 500mS, I think... it's been a while.

Mixer is a GOOD plan

Okay...Zach....you need to tell me about this Dual Tap Tempo thingee that Bob built for you please......I think I need one for my G-Force and Eclipse...
I started about three years ago trying to tap both these units with one button...One unit is latching and the other isnt...got a midi mapper that didnt do it.......finally moved on to other things.
Is it just a little box with midi in and outs?

Hey Scottie i just setup my good ol faithful Boogie MKIII Wet/Dry rig, with the CAE 4x4 switcher and CAE dual stereo line mixer and G-major. The G major sounds much better to my ears when run thru the mixer.. i setup some killer Huff/Luke style patches with huge verb/pitch/delay and it sounds awesome!!
