We got a Kirk Hammett solo on Megadeth album

There have been several comments about how "digital" sounding this and other album songs sound. While I do appreciate the really polished tone and the work that goes into achieving that I do miss the old days of plopping a mic in front of speakers raw recordings. I much prefer being able to connect to the angst of the playing from recordings of old over the polished, overly sterile modern recordings of today.

I realized it's mostly the drums that I don't love in this track. The guitars aren't bad in my opinion. It just seems like drums these days always sound the same.

I dig the guitar tone, but yeah the drums do sound kind of monotone. I can overlook that though since the rest of it is pretty solid. My only real gripe on this one is the vocals are too prominent. They overshadow everything esle and make the whole track sound off.

I'm calling it now......he's not going to stay "retired" for even a year. You heard it here first....😉

Yes, that means more albums and tours.

"Woe is me." Those lodges, man, it's the fine print that'll get you.

Also bothers me that we're all looking out for the new Megadeth album 40 years after the band's debut. There really is nothing left in metal music, apparently. These were the biggest bands, and there are no replacements.
