I've had way too many guitars, especially over the last 5 years. But after many many years being a Gibson diehard, I got my first strat and have sort of fallen in love with them, especially for live use. I guess I'm a picky strat guy tho - jumbo frets, 12" radius, HSS - so that leaves me either hunting for a CS/offbrand or I have to roll my own. I have one CS Fender that's amazing and another partscaster (MJT silverburst body/Musikraft neck) and I can't decide which is my favorite currently.

This tele custom partscaster is Goldilocks territory. I bought the neck from a well known luthier and it checks a lot of boxes. Nitro, hand rolled edges, baseball bat profile, flamed maple. That’s paired with a guitar mill tele custom body, gotoh in-tune nickel bridge, vintage wiring, and the Fender PV 64 pickup set. It’s one hell of a guitar.

any tele with a forearm contour. I want to love strats but I just don’t. everything feels too far to the right. tele is perfect, but I have to have a forearm contour. literally nothing else about the guitar will matter as long as it checks those 2 boxes lol

Gutierrez custom built Corpsey style "ML" one off. I have a bunch of Dime style guitars, some of them USA custom builds from Dean and Washburn. They all kick ass but they get SMOKED by this ugly(by design) workhorse Brent made by hand. Brent has some sorta deal with the devil or something, because I know magic when I feel it.
My Gutierrez has been my number one guitar for a looooong time. It just plays, sounds and feels “right” in every way.

Talk about getting out of the way. I remember playing an Ibanez AANJ for the first time after only playing their old neck joints for a couple years and thinking how great it was…..NO neck joints is even better!
